Will students get regular breaks?
For both Saturday School and workshop, the day will be divided into sessions that are 45-60 minutes long (sessions for younger students will be shorter) with plenty of time to relax, ask questions and get refreshments.
Students will be encouraged to drink plenty of water throughout the day and healthy snacks will be provided in the morning break time.
During workshop sessions, Lunch and Snacks will be provided.
What if my child is shy?
All Fusion facilitators have many years experience working with young people, and have a very special ability to engage with children and bring them "out of their shell". In fact, the FUSION experience at our sat school and workshops are a great way for youngsters of all ages to boost their confidence and learn important life skills that they will be able to use in their normal academic studies. Fusion Facilitators and Fusion Direcotrs will be on hand at all times to offer help and advice to students and their parents.
What are the security arrangements?
Fusion will provide a safe and secure environment for everyone at any of the venues that we use. Students will be required to be signed in or signed out by their parents or registered caregiver. In the event of any doubt, adults will be asked to show some form of ID. All the teachers flying in from the UK have been thoroughly vetted and their backgrounds checked with the Criminal Records Bureau. No adult will ever be allowed to be in a room alone with a child.
What should my child bring?
Your child doesn't really need to bring anything but energy, a good attitude and bags of enthusiasm. Students will not be allowed to use mobile phones or electronic devices of any kind during the workshops and it is probably better if such items are left a t home. If students bring snacks from home, we request that they are nutritious and healthy. If you decide to allow your child to bring sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks etc we request that they do not share them with other pupils.
